Boys Basketball: Bombers clinch HVL Blue win over K-W

Cannon Falls continues to stay atop the Hiawatha Valley League Blue Division after pulling away with a 56-42 victory over Kenyon-Wanamingo Tuesday in Cannon Falls.

“Now that we’re in the heart of our Blue Division schedule, it was nice to get a good win over Kenyon,” said Bombers’ head coach Josh Davisson.

Brock Peterson paced Cannon Falls with a game-high 18 points, along with four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jordan Lundell chipped in with 12 points and three assists, and Hunter Johnson continued his solid string of games with eight points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The Knights got a team-high 14 points from Marcus Irrthum.

The Bombers (9-7, 6-3 HVL) play host to Goodhue on Friday.
