Cross-Country: Lake City boys fourth, girls 13th

Carl Kozlowski’s fifth-place finish led the Lake City boys cross country team to a fourth-place showing at the Austin invitational Tuesday. Kozlowski covered the five kilometers in 17 minutes, 9.32 seconds. 

Kozlowski’s teammate, Cole Willers, placed 23rd with a time of 18:15.12 while Shane Siewert (18:32.85) took 26th.

Winona’s Hunter Bailey won the race with a time of 16:28.61. Albert Lea won the team competition with 42 points, well ahead of Lake City’s 105.


Sidney Renelt’s 16:22.78 was the top time among the Tiger girls, a 13th-place showing. Lydia Tylor (17:00.99) placed 21st with Samantha Keller (17:03.17) one spot back.

Winona’s Caitlin Domeyer helped the Winhawks sweep the top of the podium with a run of 14.44.02. The host Packers were the top team, accumulating 33 points. Lake City placed third with 108 points.
