Boys Soccer: Lake City upended by Faribault

Alex McCormick got Lake City on the board early in the second half, but Faribault scuttled the Tigers boys soccer team’s hopes for its first win when the Falcons scored with three minutes remaining, sending Lake City to its 10th loss with a 2-1 decision.

The Tigers had a lot of chances, putting 18 shots on net. But the Falcons were able to deflect all but one while scoring in the 65th and 77th minutes to steal the game.

Lake City (0-10) will host Plainview-Elgin-Millville/Dover-Eyota Tuesday, then head to Winona Cotter Thursday.
