Volleyball: Z-M falls to K-W in straight sets

For the second time in four days, Zumbrota-Mazeppa volleyball fell short against Kenyon-Wanamingo, losing in three sets, 25-17, 25-12, 25-16, in Hiawatha Valley League play Tuesday in Zumbrota.

Carley Henning was the Cougars’ top player on Tuesday, finishing with seven kills, six digs and three ace blocks. Hailey Dykes added five kills and a block, and Kalli Paukert controlled the offense with 15 set assists.

Brittney Flom led the Knights at the net with eight kills and five blocks, and Bailey Auseth had 12 digs in the victory. Meg Clark had 26 set assists to lead undefeated K-W.

Z-M (4-4, 0-1 HVL) travels to Cannon Falls on Thursday.
