Nate Bauer (jr. LB), Kenyon-Wanamingo

From coach Jake Wieme: "A hard worker with great effort and attitude. Nate did a great job of covering sideline to sideline on defense."

From coach Tony Poncelet: "Mariano has been our place kicker since ninth grade. He worked hard and got better each year. He had some big field goals for us this year and was almost perfect on PATs this season. He finished his career with 145 PATs made, which puts him second in the state per MSHSL records."

Joey Erickson (jr. WR), Randolph

All-District, 43 receptions, 688 yards, 9 TD

From coach Michael Schmidt: "Joey is one of the hardest working athletes walking through the halls of Randolph High School. His hard work in the classroom and the field has led to his success this season."

Tyler Grudem (sr. P), Zumbrota-Mazeppa

All-District honorable mention, Team Special Teams MVP, 41.6 yards per punt, 3.1 yards per punt return

From coach Darin Raasch: "Tyler is as good of a kicker as there is in the area, if not Southern Minnesota. Usually if a high school kid punts a ball 45-50 yards, he has greatly out-kicked his coverage. In punts over 45 yards, the (opponent) averaged only 6.2 yards per return. That means he had some pretty good hang time on those kicks as well."

Sam Guse (jr. ILB), Red Wing

All-District, Team Defensive Co-MVP, 71 tackles, 1 FR

From coach Nate Freier: "Sam was a physical on-field leader. He was an anchor in the 3-5 front for us this year and will be a physical presence for the Wingers next year as well."

Mason Huemann (sr. RB/LB), Goodhue

From coach Tony Poncelet: "Mason is a physical running back with great vision. Mason got every yard his offense gave him and always fell forward. He put up some crazy offensive numbers the last three season, but he is just as impressive as a LB. Mason was a three-year starter on both sides of the ball."

Austin Keller (sr. OL), Pine Island

From coach John Stapleton: "Helped lead the way for the No. 2 overall offense in our district."

Josh Navratil (jr. RB), Pine Island
