Boys Basketball Wrap: K-W falls to Lourdes
A high-scoring first half gave way to a Rochester Lourdes rout as the Eagles sent Kenyon-Wanamingo home with an 81-43 loss on Friday night.
The Knights trailed 43-31 at halftime, but scored just a dozen points after the break while Lourdes poured in 38 more points.
Jack Buelke scored 13 points and had five rebounds for K-W, with Micah Johnson and Tate Erlandson scoring nine and eight points, respectively. Colin Meade and Matthew Hayford led the Eagles with 25 and 22 points.
The Knights (0-8) will look for their first win Saturday against Chatfield at the HVL/TRC Showdown at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester.
Cannon Falls 63, Hayfield 43
Ryan Dirckx hit four 3-pointers, setting the tone for Cannon Falls in a 63-43 Hiawatha Valley League victory over Hayfield on Friday night.
Dirckx finished with a game-high 19 points while teammate Isaac Illa chipped in with 12. Nick Bultena and Chase Reber each had eight points for the Bombers (2-2, 1-0 HVL).
On Saturday, Cannon Falls will face St. Charles in the HVL/TRC Showdown. Tip-off is set for 2:15 p.m. at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester.
Lake City 62, K-M 46
Marc Kjos scored 26 points, including the 1,000th of his career, to lead Lake City to a 62-46 victory over Kasson-Mantorville on Friday.

Four players scored in double digits for Randolph on Tuesday, led by Carsyn Gunderson's 22 points, in a 71-58 win over Lyle-Pacelli.
Joey Erickson finished with 15 points in the victory, followed by Nick Drinken and Andrew Wenstrom, who both scored 12.
Triton 74, K-W 36
Triton slowed Kenyon-Wanamingo to a crawl on Tuesday, taking down the Knights, 74-36.
Tate Erlandson had 15 points, three rebounds and two steals in the loss.
