Hitting 3-pointers at a 48-percent clip (12 of 25), Red Wing's shooting prevailed over Rochester John Marshall's height in an 80-55 Big Nine Conference win Tuesday at Sonju Gymnasium.
Going 7 of 8 from 3-point range, Kyli Nelson was the Wingers' top scorer with 21 points to go with five rebounds and three assists. Lindsay Reps was a perfect 3-for-3 from outside as part of a 15-point, three-steal night. Abi Deming had 12 points and seven rebounds, Dani Deming finished with 10 points off the bench, and Tayzha Buck accounted for eight points, four rebounds and three assists.
Up 44-23 at halftime, Red Wing's defense held JM to 36 percent shooting compared to 50 percent for the Wingers.
