Girls Basketball: Fifteen 3-pointers vault Wingers to victory
Hitting 15 of 30 3-pointers, the Red Wing girls' basketball team sprinted out to a 52-19 lead en route to an 85-35 victory at Mankato East in Big Nine Conference play Tuesday.
The Wingers' top shooter was Kyli Nelson, who was 5 of 8 from 3-point range as part of an 18-point night. Tayzha Buck also hit five 3-pointers in a 16-point effort, and Lindsay Reps scored 17 points thanks to three 3-pointers.
Dani Deming scored seven points off the bench, and Hannah Rodgers added five points, seven rebounds and three assists in the Red Wing victory.
