Red Wing's final dual meet of the Big Nine Conference season ended in defeat Tuesday as the Wingers were clipped Rochester John Marshall, 96-90, at Twin Bluff Middle School.

Sammy Kriese had a first-place finish in the 200 individual medley (2:24.19) and a second-place showing in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.68). Also netting second-place individual finishes for Red Wing were Madison Beyers (200 freestyle, 2:11.87) and Annabelle Scafe (100 backstroke, 1:10.56).
The Wingers also had two relay wins, with O'Brien, Kriese, De Jong and Teegan taking part in both the victorious 200 medley relay (1:58.70) and 400 freestyle relay (4:01.41).
"It was a close meet tonight and I think it shows how strong the girls can be when they compete together," said Red Wing head coach Mikayla Beuch. "We still have swimmers dropping time and swimming season bests before they begin to rest. Everyone pulled some of the weight tonight and competed hard. This was a good spot for us to end our dual season on."
Now, the focus shifts to the Big Nine Conference meet, which will begin on Friday, Oct. 27 with diving at Northfield and will culminate on Saturday, Oct. 28 with the swim events in Rochester.
