Amateur Baseball: Aces take care of Hastings

Red Wing has scored at least four runs in each of its three games this season, and the Aces have allowed just six. That includes a 9-3 win over Hastings on Sunday that moves Red Wing to 3-0 on the year.

Sam Palmatier gave up single runs in the third, sixth and eighth innings to get the win for the Aces. Palmatier allowed eight hits, two earned runs and two walks.

Offensively, Red Wing's Brady Schroeder had a hit and a pair of RBI, while Kyle Blahnik knocked in one on three hits. Josh and Adam Thygesen both had two hits, as did Cole Kelly.

Red Wing will host the Rochester Royals on Friday with a trip to Randolph on Sunday preceding a four-game homestand that begins May 27.
