Cross-Country: Ellsworth competes at Spring Valley Invite

Glenwood City ran away with the girls’ title, but Ellsworth managed to hold on to second place at the Spring Valley invitational on Thursday.

The Panthers totaled 67 points, well behind Glenwood City’s 31, but just ahead of St. Croix Central’s 77.

Julia Vanwatermuelen led Ellsworth with a time of 21 minutes, 45.96 seconds, just clipping teammate Rachel Mancuso’s 21:46.80.

Carter Schutz finished fifth in the boys’ race with a time of 19:21.08, while the Panther’s other runner, Rory Holt, came in 35th at 23:04.92.
