Boys Soccer: St. Paul Academy blanks Cannon Falls

It's been a tough season for the Cannon Falls boys soccer team, and ti continued Saturday with a 3-0 loss to St. Paul Academy.

But things are starting to turn around for the Bombers, as evidenced by allowing only three goals in the game. Though the Bombers have yet to score themselves, in three previous matches Cannon Falls gave up an average of seven goals. And head coach Adam Rueger can see the difference in his team from where it was at the beginning of the season.

"From four weeks ago, you can tell a huge difference in how we're moving the ball. We're having success that way, we're starting to look like the teams we play," Rueger said. "We're not there yet, but it's a huge step from a month ago."

The Bombers will (0-4) visit Schaeffer Academy Tuesday before a Hiawatha Valey League road trip to Kasson-Mantorville Thursday.
