Amateur Baseball: Bay City too much for Randolph

Cole Kuesel picked up his first win of the summer as the Bay City Bombers defeated the Randolph Railcats 8-3 during the first round of the Cannon Falls tournament at John Burch Park.

Kuesel threw a complete game, allowing three unearned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out eight. He also went 2-for-3 with two runs scored at the plate.

Dustin Frandrup was 2-for-5 with two RBI, Steve Bowe went 2-for-6 with an RBI and Brock Strain finished 2-for-5 with two runs scored in the win.

In the second round of the tournament, the Bombers fell 13-3 to the Minneapolis Cobras. Complete results were unavailable. Sunday's third-place game against the Metro Merchants was cancelled due to inclement weather.
