CANNON FALLS - As the postseason nears Miesville seems to have everything in working order.

The Mudhens rolled to an 11-4 victory Sunday to pick up their 10th consecutive win and they did so with a flash of power.

Miesville (17-4, 5-2 Section 1B) hit two home runs, including a grand slam, and three doubles. Pitcher Andrew Werner crushed a grand slam in the third inning to put the Mudhens up 6-0 and one inning later Colin Keefe tagged a pitch over the fence in left center field for a three-run homer to give Miesville a 10-0 lead.

"Guys are just on time and we're swinging well," Mudhens player-manager Matt Van Der Bosch said. "It's nice when we have a lineup like we do we can relax and know if you don't get the job done then the guy behind you will get it done, too."

Eight players had a hit in the game and Miesville finished with 12 hits for the game. David Olson went 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI while Chuck Bruchu went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI. David Bruchu finished 3-for-6 with a run.

The Mudhens hit three consecutive doubles with one out in the third inning to score two runs and after a pair of errors loaded the bases for Werner. Werner unloaded on a pitch to left field to cap the scoring in the inning.

"Drew's got some good pop," Van Der Bosch said. "When he's on it, he's really on it and he can launch a few. He's really been on the ball as of late."

Werner also got the win on the mound after throwing 6 1/3 innings. Werner kept Cannon Falls hitless through the first three innings, but the Bears got two runs in the fourth. Brandon Voth grounded out to score a run and Taylor Pagel had an RBI single to score another run.

Werner allowed four runs on nine hits, walked none and struck out four.

Cannon Falls starter Keith Meyers got tagged for 10 runs on 11 hits. Meyers walked one and struck out two in 3 1/3 innings.
