Hubbers get shutout win over Bay City

Mitch Johnson crosses home plate in Bay City.3 / 3

BAY CITY - The scoring didn't begin for Ellsworth until the seventh inning but the scoring didn't happen at all for Bay City as the Hubbers shut them out 3-0 Saturday afternoon at Hortenbach Park.

Britton Wolf scored Ellsworth first run on a solo homer in the seventh. That was followed up shortly thereafter by J.P. Paulson's two-run single with two outs.

Storm Gramm led Ellsworth in hitting with three and scored a run. Both of the Bombers' top hitters had three hits each, Henry Jaeger and Dustin Frandrup.

Mitch Johnson went the full nine innings to be the winning pitcher. He struck out nine batters and only gave up three walks.
