HAMMOND - A beautiful day to play golf Tuesday led to low scores all around at the WIAA Division 2 Baldwin-Woodville Sectional played at Pheasant Hills Golf Course.

Ellsworth played its best 18-hole golf of the season, shooting 400 as a team and finishing fourth in the eight team field. Aubrey Langer led the way with a season-best score of 87, tying her for ninth place. Karissa Seibel was next with a 102, Hanna Hines shot a 104, Chloe Spriggle a 107 and Jilliane Paquet a 109.

Langer, Spriggle and Seibel are all juniors while for Hines and Paquet this was their final meet as seniors.

Osceola's Casey Danielson will be back at the state meet once again as the junior shot smoking hot 66 on the links course to win the sectional title. However, her Osceola team finished second behind Hayward 330 to 332. Both full teams will head ot the state meet next Monday and Tuesday in Madison.

Other individuals qualifying include Eau Claire Regis' Katie Porkrandt,Luck/Unity's Avery Steen and Ladysmith's Haley Seifert. Langer was four strokes away from qualifying from state as Seifert shot an 84.

Prescott senior and team captain Heidi Tayson shot a 103 in the meet. She had a 51 on the front nine and a 52 on the back. Her scored tied her for 28th place.
