Letter: Thanks for helping make Bridgefest a success
To the editor:
Many activities were associated with Shiver River Day on Feb. 17. One of these activities was the Bridgefest held at Pier 55 for both social bridge and duplicate bridge players. This activity included bridge and snacks with the winner receiving prizes donated by the Pottery Museum, Pier 55 and McDonald's of Red Wing. Hanisch Bakery provided cookies, McDonald's furnished chicken nuggets and apple and cherry pies, Rancho Loco made both hard and soft tacos, and Pier 55 provided the coffee. Staff at Pier 55 opened the Community Room at 9 a.m., made coffee and closed the Community Room at 3 p.m.. All of this support was greatly appreciated by the bridge players and, especially, by me. These establishments made the Bridgefest a successful activity.
