Kyle James Barker, 26
Kyle James Barker, 26, of Red Wing, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 5, at his home.
He was born on Jan. 14, 1991, in Red Wing, to his father William Barker and mother Cindy (Dettling) Barker. He attended school in Ellsworth and Tower View in Red Wing. He worked at Hallstroms Greenhouse, Runnings, Aslakson Service and most recently at Hearth and Home Technologies in Lake City. He enjoyed fixing cars and trucks and spending time with his friends and family.
Kyle is survived by his son, Carson Trunkel of Ellsworth, and his baby daughter due in September; mother, Cindy (Scott) Truttmann of Hager City; father, William Barker of Red Wing; sister, Nikki (Dave) Dew of Inver Grove Heights; brother, Tony Barker of St. Paul; fianc, Andrea Lacher; and girls Maddie and Chloe of Red Wing; maternal grandfather, Jim Dettling of Plum City; uncles, James Dettling of Ellsworth, Steve (Dorene Marroquin) Dettling of Welch, Joe Dettling of Plum City, and David (Donna) Barker of Bay City; also nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandmother; and step paternal grandparents.
Memorial service will be at 12 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, May 13, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Bill Bradley officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Following the service a reception will be held at the funeral home.
