Photo recap: 2018 Cannon Valley Fair
CANNON FALLS — The Cannon Valley Fair has been a staple of summer in Cannon Falls for 103 years. It took place this year July 1-4, 2018.
Events and live music are scheduled throughout the event, including a traditional meeting of the Goodhue County Board and the annual meeting of Goodhue County Health and Human Services.
On Wednesday, July 4, the parade will take place at 11 a.m. and admission to the grounds will be free that day. Additional costs still apply for rides and food.
The Midway features thrills and games for kids of all ages, including classics like the big slide, ferris wheel, pony rides and carousel.
Young animals and an incubation demonstration are there to help educate and encourage kids toward agriculture in the FFA Kiddie Barn. Several animal pavilions feature yaks, sheep, horses, cattle and more.
From crafts and plants, to fried food and Future Farmers of America, the Cannon Valley Fair has the best of everything the region has to offer. Honoring veterans and senior citizens, admission for all visitors will be free on July 4, and fireworks will close out the event at dusk.
