Red Wing woman, teen injured after collision with deer

Two Red Wing residents were injured Wednesday after the vehicle they were in struck a deer in Hager City.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said the crash, reported at 5:52 a.m. Oct. 18 at Highway 35 and 830th Street, left driver Pamela Stulc and passenger Selena Silva with undisclosed injuries. Stulc, 39, and Silva, 17, were taken by Red Wing ambulance to Mayo Health Systems-Red Wing.

Deputies said the deer came out of a southbound ditch and ran into the the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Ellsworth firefighters also assisted at the scene of the crash, which remains under investigation.
