Girls Tennis: Wingers split the week

Red Wing rebounded from a lopsided 7-0 loss to Farmington on Wednesday with a 4-3 victory over River Falls on Thursday.

Chloe Struss had the lone singles win for the Wingers against the Wildcats, while the three doubles teams picked up the other three wins. Maria Haley and Solveig Roth swept at No. 2 doubles, and Ellie Schlangen and Isabelle Schlangen did the same at No. 3.

At No. 1 doubles, Mya Benway and Megan Jeranek won a three-set thriller, 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) to get Red Wing into the win column.

The Tigers swept every match from the Wingers on Wednesday.
