Volleyball: Wildcats wrap up section win over Rockets

GOODHUE — In a matchup of Section 1A teams, Goodhue was able to get the best of Randolph on Monday with a four-set, non-conference victory, 25-14, 25-23, 21-25, 25-20.

The Wildcats' top hitter was Hannah Gadient, who finished with 10 kills with a pair of blocks, and Sydney Lodermeier tallied eight kills, four blocks and two ace serves. Mariah Tipcke facilitated the winning offense with 40 set assists and Torrie Rehder patrolled the back row with 12 digs.

The Rockets' Kayleen Woodcock was the top hitter in the game with 13 kills while Kenna Foss added 13 set assists in the loss. Lindsey Grant was a tough server Monday with four ace serves.

Goodhue (6-8) plays host to Kasson-Mantorville on Tuesday while Randolph (3-4) will travel to LeRoy-Ostrander on Tuesday.
