Notice is hereby given that the City of Red Wing Advisory Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., to hear and make a recommendation on a Variance request by Courtney and Mara Celt, 1527 Poplar Drive, to allow a 3'- 9" minimum side yard setback for the construction of an attached two-car garage addition. The proposed 25' wide x 32' deep single story garage addition would replace an existing single stall detached garage that is in poor condition. The Red Wing Zoning Ordinance requires an 8' side yard setback for an attached garage in the R-1 Zoning District.
Plat and Parcel Number: 55-080-0460. The legal description of this property is as follows: Lot 52, BIRCHWOOD VILLAGE ADDITION to the City of Red Wing, Minnesota, according to the recorded plat thereof on file and of record in the Office of the County Recorder for Goodhue County, Minnesota. More commonly known as 1527 Poplar Drive.
Written or oral comments to said application may be presented at this public hearing or filed with the City Clerk prior to this hearing. Each response will be duly considered and evaluated before any formal action is taken by the Planning Commission to make a recommendation to the City Council. The City Council will consider and evaluate all responses made at the Planning Commission Public Hearing and the Planning Commission's recommendation. No additional oral comments will be presented at the City Council meeting prior to a decision by the City Council unless specifically requested by the City Council.
