City considers property purchase
The Red Wing City Council went into two closed sessions Monday.
One was to consider purchasing property at 621 Fourth St. That is near the former West Avenue rental building that Goodhue County purchased and tore down.
The second closed session was to consider purchasing several property parcels for the relocation of the downtown Public Works building on Bluff Street.
In other news...
• As part of their consent agenda, council members passed 20 items, all of which can be found on the city's website, red-wing.org
• The council heard options for adding solar heating of both domestic and heating water to the proposed Red Wing Fire Station 2. The project will come back to council in July for final plan approval.
• The council approved the marketing and promotional agreement with the Red Wing Visitor and Convention Bureau. VCB Executive Director Arloa Bach presented a report to council members.
