Churches to hold joint Good Friday worship

Red Wing’s ecumenical Good Friday service will begin at noon March 25 at First United Methodist Church. Several churches also will hold evening services. Contact them for information.

Pierce County Ecumenical Choir announces tour

The Pierce County Ecumenical Choir will hold its annual Easter concert tour in April. The music is Lent-inspired this year.

Free will offerings will be collected and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to local food shelves. The schedule is:

•7 p.m. Sunday April 3 at Elmwood United Methodist Church.

•3 p.m. Sunday April 10 at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Red Wing and 7 p.m. at Joy Lutheran Church in Prescott.

•3 p.m. Sunday April 17 at Sabylund Lutheran Church in Stockholm and 7 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, Wisconsin.

•7:30 p.m. Wednesday April 20 at Evangelical Free Church in Plum City.

•4 p.m. Sunday April 24 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ellsworth.

Sunday Supper served

The Community Meal/Sunday Supper will begin at 5 p.m. March 20 at First United Methodist Church. Members of the congregation will be the servers. This is a free meal and is open to everyone.

Faith in Action seeks volunteer drivers

Faith in Action is looking for volunteers to drive individuals to various appointments. If you are interested in exploring this opportunity, call 651-327-2400. The office is located at 1407 W. Fourth St.

Library books can be delivered to homes

In cooperation with the Red Wing Public Library, Faith in Action volunteers are matched with individuals unable to get to the library. The volunteers will pick-out books, deliver to an individual and then return them through the Book House Call program. Timing is arranged with the receivers and the volunteers. Respite care available

Faith in Action volunteers will provide short-term relief for a caregiver. They do not provide care services, but a caring presence to relieve the caregiver to attend a support group, shop, or enjoy a personal activity.

The respite can be two to four hours. For information, call 651-327-2400.
