Covenant members serve final meal of June

First Covenant Church members will serve the third Community Meal/Sunday Supper for June. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church.

This is a full meal prepared and served free of charge and open to everyone.

Belgian waffle breakfast is at First Lutheran

Dad’s Belgian Waffles will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast Sunday July 5 at First Lutheran Church, Red Wing. The hours are 8 a.m. until noon.

Advance tickets, at $7 for adults, are available at the church office and by calling 651- 388-9311. Tickets at the door are $8.

Tickets for children ages 6 to 10 are $4.50. Children 5 and under eat for free.

Outdoor service set

Churches Around the Park will hold an outdoor worship service on Sunday June 28 at 6 p.m. The service will be in Red Wing’s Central Park.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join in.

Cannon River ice cream social planned

Cannon River Lutheran Church will hold its annual ice cream and strawberry social on Sunday June 28. Worship will be at 10 a.m., with the meal of ice cream and strawberries, sloppy joes, sandwiches, cake and beverages from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

See choir at New River

New River Assembly of God Church will be hosting Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge Choir at 10 a.m. Sunday July 5.

Need ride to the doctor? Take Road to Recovery

Faith in Action offers the Road to Recovery program. This is the only out-of-town transportation service provided by Faith in Action in Red Wing and is for individuals receiving radiation treatments for cancer.

The office coordinates with family, church, and public health in assuring the patient has adequate transportation from Red Wing to treatment at Minneapolis or Rochester.

Old Stone Church will host service

Hauge and Emmanuel Lutheran churches will hold a joint worship service 9:30 a.m. Sunday June 28 at the Old Stone Church.

A free-will offering will be collected for the upkeep and repair of the church and cemetery. Refreshments will be served after the service.
