Lane closures on Highway 60 in Faribault and Kenyon

Although most road construction will be shut down for Labor Day, there are still highway work zones in place around the state, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to use extra caution while driving this weekend. (file photo)

Motorists on Highway 60 will encounter lane closures from the Straight River near Faribault to Huseth Avenue in Kenyon beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5, as crews resurface the roadway, according to Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Short traffic delays may occur during the paving operations and motorists should be alert for flaggers directing traffic through the construction zone. The project will replace aging pavement and extend the lifespan of the highway. Improvements to sidewalks and ramps in Kenyon and Faribault will also be made.
