Sixth Street closed for water line repair

Red Wing Public Works has closed a portion of West Sixth Street to repair a private water service. The area affected is between Plum and Potter streets and will be closed to thru traffic for the duration of the project.

The works is being done by a private contractor and the closure is expected to last approximately three days, weather permitting. The road will be reopened as soon as the work has been completed.

Traffic control is in place. Motorists are encouraged to stay alert and use alternate routes whenever possible.
