The city of Red Wing will collect computers, televisions and screens, cellphones, printers and many more items at a reduced fee or free during the annual electronic recycling event.
On Saturday, Oct. 21, stop by to drop off your used electronics between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Red Wing Waste Campus, 1873 Bench St. The E-waste Event is available for all residents and businesses in southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The primary goal is to recover and recycle electronics and electrical products to keep them out of the waste stream.
Reduced items include CRT televisions, console televisions and freon appliances. Free items include flat screen monitors, dishwashers, stoves and more.
Volunteers and city staff will assist electronics waste donors in collecting the materials from their vehicle. For a full list of free and reduced items, visit www.red-wing.org and click "City of Red Wing's Annual Electronics and Recycling Event."
