Howe makes primary bid official
John Howe announced Tuesday that he will run in the Republican primary for Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District seat. Jason Lewis, best known as a talk show host, won the GOP endorsement.
Howe said that as a former Red Wing mayor and state senator he is the sole candidate with the necessary experience to address the critical issues facing the country. He also said he is the most electable conservative in the race.
“Our campaign is the only one informing the public of the looming fiscal crisis and offering solutions to address the United States’ national debt,” he said in a press release.
Howe said Congress must examine tax expenditures and reform the tax system, The last major tax changes happened 30 years ago.
