County considers solar energy rules
Goodhue County will hold a public meeting 5:30 to 7 p.m. Aug. 18 to discuss proposed solar energy regulations being considered by the Planning Advisory Commission.
Solar energy projects currently are not recognized as an allowed use in county zoning districts. Land-use Management staff is working with the PAC to develop regulations in response to growing interest in commercial solar energy development in the state.
The meeting will be held in the Jury Assembly Room of the Goodhue County Justice Center, 454 W. Sixth St.
