Dakota County staffer charged with copying Kelly, Mack report
A Dakota County employee has been accused of improperly sharing a sheriff’s office report for the Aug. 25 citations of Reps. Tim Kelly and Tara Mack charged with a nuisance for “making out” in a park, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.
Thomas Alan Berry in the environmental resources department is accused of copying the report “with the intent to use the data for non-governmental purposes,” according to a misdemeanor charge filed Nov. 12. Berry allegedly printed and forwarded the report to his home computer Aug. 26, the day after the Republican lawmakers were cited.
Berry admitted he forwarded the report “so he could discuss a couple of entries he found interesting with his wife,” according to the complaint.
