Dave Muelken from SCS Elevator Co. will be among the panelists when Journey to Growth "J2G" and Destination Medical Center bring leaders together to find ways to continue to move the region's economy forward.
The economic summit will feature manufacturers from across the region. The event will be 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 7 at the Rochester International Event Center, 7333 Airport View Drive S.W., Rochester. Cost is $30.
• Ellsworth Chiropractic and Wellness Center has added Dr. Samantha Johnson to the team of health care providers. Johnson graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in April 2017 and is working as an associate for Dr. Gayle Nissen.
• Terri Cook of Red Wing, an independent sales consultant for Norwex, was named a top leader in the United States during Norwex's national convention in August. Cook ranks fourth in the United States for team volume.
There are currently 120,000 consultants worldwide. Cook, who holds the level of executive vice president sales leader, credits her success to bringing a love of life into her approach to business, the consultant team under her and to the quality Norwex products.
"It's hard to believe that my dream of earning extra income by doing one show a week has grown into a nationwide team of 37,000 people and millions of homes made safer. Somebody pinch me!" She said.
Terri started her Norwex direct sales business in 2006. Norwex is a global community working to effect change by reducing chemicals and waste.
• Bruce Waugh of Goodhue has been elected as a delegate to the 134th American Angus Association convention Nov. 6 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Waugh is one of 331 Angus breeders elected by fellow members in their respective states to serve as a representative.
• Smith Schafer and Associates was named a Star Tribune Top Workplace last month based on worker feedback. "We are honored to be included in the list of Top Workplaces — especially since the judges were our employees," said Steve D. Salveson, the firm's principal in the Red Wing office.
