Business Notebook: ProAct honors city of Red Wing

ProAct recently named the city of Red Wing its Employer of the Year.

ProAct is a nonprofit that serves people with disabilities and other challenges, with facilities in Red Wing, Eagan, Zumbrota and Hudson, Wisconsin.

Operations Foreman Dan Anderson said the ProAct crews do a very good job, and are very concerned and considerate. “They’re out here at public works before we get here in the morning and always seem to have a smile on their face, and that makes walking into work a little easier.”

Charlene Rigelman of Old Frontenac was named a member of the 2015 President’s Council of New York Life. Members of the council are those among the top 5 percent of New York Life’s sales force. Rigelman has been a New York Life agent since 1986.

Todd Hauschildt, formerly of Red Wing, was listed among Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s “Titans of Technology.” The designation highlights and honors top Twin Cities technology professionals and advocates.

Hauschildt is CEO of SWAT Solutions, a software quality services company.

Philip N. Duff of New York, formerly of Red Wing, has been named CEO of Assos, a sports apparel company based in Lugano, Switzerland. Assos announced last month that it sold a majority stake in the company to an investment group led by Duff.
