Body Kneads Massage has new home for healing
Body Kneads Massage & Wellness Center has alleviated growing pangs with “twice the space” in their new location in downtown Red Wing.
The business made the short move Monday from 316 Bush St. to 416 W. Third St.
There will be an official ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 8.
Owner Karan Olson, who purchased the business in January, said that the bigger space will accommodate Body Kneads’ growing team of therapists, which has doubled since she took over ownership.
Olson described the move as a “seamless transition.”
She also highlighted that Body Kneads is looking to coordinate specials with neighbor Hanisch Bakery: For example, a “sugar cookie body scrub” paired with a sugar cookie.
She is also looking forward to offering birthday parties and bridal and baby showers.
“We are working to bring wellness in a whole different dimension,” she said.
Olson noted that her staff thrives on a teamwork approach
“Ninety-five percent of illness is stress related,” she contends. “People have forgotten how good they can feel. We hear a lot of people say, ‘I should do this more often.’”
Body Kneads is a two-time Red Wing Chamber of Commerce Service Business of the Year award winner and has been serving the Red Wing area since January 1998. Having “really good quality therapists” is the key to the business’ success in bringing wellness to each patient, according to Olson.
