Capital Safety acquires Brazilian firm

Capital Safety has acquired Brazilian fall protection company Altiseg Equipamentos de Seguranca de Trabalho Ltda., Capital Safety announced.

“This acquisition expands our footprint in the region and allows us to better serve our customers,” Capital Safety CEO Stephen Oswald said. “Altiseg complements our existing capabilities and strengthens our position in a fast-growing, emerging geography. Altiseg has a strong reputation and widespread brand recognition in this fall protection market and it will be a great addition to Capital Safety.”

Patricia dos Santos, commercial director at Altiseg, said the acquisition will be beneficial to both companies.

“Our local knowledge and capabilities coupled with Capital Safety’s expanded portfolio of products shall open up new opportunities for our growth in the Brazilian market. We are delighted to join hands with a world leader to unlock our full potential,” she said.

Established in 1987, Altiseg has headquarters in the southern state of Parana in Brazil. The company designs, manufactures and sells a full range of fall protection harnesses and lanyards and provides training services to its customers.

Capital Safety, with its 26 sites worldwide including the Red Wing office, is home of the DBI-SALA and Protectas brands.
