RF man airlifted after rollover crash

TOWN OF DIAMOND BLUFF -- A River Falls man was airlifted to the hospital after rolling his vehicle multiple times during a traffic stop attempt by law enforcement late Tuesday night near Diamond Bluff.

A Pierce County Sheriff’s deputy tried to conduct a traffic stop on a southbound vehicle driven by Isaac Dean Phillips, 18, at about 11:44 p.m. on Hwy. 35 near 1005th Street.

Phillips' vehicle entered the ditch and rolled multiple times.

He was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with undisclosed injuries. Police said alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the PCSO.

Pierce County deputies were assisted by Ellsworth Fire, Red Wing EMS and North Memorial Air Care.
