Teen falls off moving car, is struck

BAY CITY -- A Bay City teen was struck by the vehicle he had been riding on when he apparently fell off it Friday evening. Cody R. Sullivan, 17, was riding on top of a 1996 Saturn SC at about 5:03 p.m. heading south on Wabash Street in Bay City when he was ejected off the car and then hit, Pierce County Sheriff’s Department said. The car, driven by 17-year-old Evan E. Sullivan of Bay City, was turning right onto Main Street at the time.

Sullivan was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing with undisclosed injuries.

The driver and three passengers inside the vehicle were not injured: Keenen A. Vezina, 18, Bay City; a 16-year-old Hager City girl; and Dustin R. Knuth, 18, Bay City.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Red Wing Ambulance and Hager City First Responders.
