Multi-car accident near Beldenville causes injuries
BELDENVILLE -- A multi-vehicle accident took place just before 1 p.m. Monday on Hwy. 65 near its intersection with County Road J.
Four vehicles were involved. Investigators determined that a south-bound vehicle driven by Paulette Joan Price, 48, of White Bear Lake, Minn., went out of control on the slush-covered road and crossed the centerline. When this happened, Price’s vehicle struck a north-bound vehicle operated by Clayton Bradley, 34, of Ellsworth.
Her vehicle was then reportedly struck by another south-bound vehicle driven by Michael Brunner, 25, Ellsworth. A fourth vehicle, driven by Michelle Schneider, 42, Durand, was also travelling north and reportedly struck one of the vehicles as it spun in front of her.
Price and Schneider were transported from the scene in separate Ellsworth Ambulance Service units with undetermined injuries, which did not appear to be life-threatening. Brunner reportedly received minor injuries, and a child who was a passenger in Schneider's vehicle was transported from the scene in an ambulance due to a medical condition related to a previous injury.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Department was assisted at the accident scene by both Ellsworth Fire and Ambulance services and the Pierce County Highway Department. Several passersby also assisted prior to the arrival of emergency personnel.
