Head-on crash sends Maiden Rock man to Regions

A Maiden Rock man was listed in fair condition Monday morning at Regions Hospital in St. Paul about 12 hours after his Dodge Neon struck another Neon head-on while driving a Town of Maiden Rock road Sunday evening.

Robert Parris, 33, was airlifted from the scene while the other driver, Teha Anderson, 20, of Red Wing, was transported to Mayo Red Wing Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Pierce County sheriff's deputy Craig Theis stated in a news release that the crash occurred on 420th Street west of CTH A when Parris' westbound 2005 Neon crossed the centerline.

Assisting deputies at the scene were personnel from the Maiden Rock Ambulance Service and Lund Fire Department and a paramedic from the Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service.
