Sens. Goggin, Chamberlain to host Tax Town Hall in Zumbrota
ST. PAUL — Sen. Mike Goggin (R-Red Wing) and Senate Tax Committee Chairman Roger Chamberlain (R-Lino Lakes) will host a Tax Town Hall to solicit public feedback and discuss opportunities to simplify the state's tax code, protect Minnesotans' wages and grow the economy.
The town hall is scheduled for 1-2 p.m Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Zumbrota Public Library, 100 West Ave., Zumbrota.
"Federal tax relief will be good for all of us," Chamberlain said. "People will see reduced taxes, higher wages, more jobs, and greater opportunity, economic security and shared prosperity — but only if we make the necessary changes that will help Minnesota families take full advantage of the benefits."
"Last year the Legislature provided significant tax relief for Minnesota families," Goggin said. With the passage of the federal tax overhaul, we have an opportunity to do even more. I look forward to hearing what my constituents think about this important issue."
