Hanni receives Distinguished Service Award
Lisa Hanni, L.S., of Red Wing was awarded for her hard work and dedication as a licensed professional surveyor in Minnesota for 23 years. The NCEES Distinguished Service Award was presented to Hanni during the organization's 96th annual meeting on Aug. 23-26 in Miami Beach, Fla.
As a member of the Minnesota State Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design, Hanni has served as board chair and vice chair as a member of the board's Complaint and Executive committees. Now an emeritus member, she continues to be committed to advancing licensure. Currently, Hanni serves as a subject-matter expert for the Minnesota state-specific surveying exam, her 19th year volunteering with the program.
On the side, Hanni spreads her knowledge of surveying profession by giving presentations on professional ethics, the value of licensure and other related topics. She has served as a member of the Minnesota Association of County Surveyors since 1992 and is a past president.
Today, Hanni can be seen as the county surveyor, land-use management director, county recorder and assistant administrator for Goodhue County. She is also the surveyor for Dodge County.
