Workshop to address dynamics of poverty
"Bridges Out of Poverty," a daylong workshop that offers strategies for professionals and community members, will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4 at Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing. Jodi Pfarr, an internationally recognized consultant, will bring her experiences and expertise on the dynamics of poverty, including the theory of change, hidden rules of class, resources and concrete tools to address poverty in the community.
Cost is $75, which includes lunch and Ruby Payne's book, "Bridges Out of Poverty." The workshop is intended for anyone in the community who would like to learn more; continuing education credits are available.
