Xcel names Lexvold community relations manager
Ross Lexvold is Xcel Energy's new community relations manager for southeastern Minnesota. He replaces Pamela Gorman Prochaska, who has been promoted to director of nuclear regulatory policy.
A longtime resident of Goodhue County and Red Wing, Lexvold spent the last decade working for Xcel Energy at the Prairie Island nuclear plant in various roles.
As community relations manager, Lexvold will be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with southeastern Minnesota customers and stakeholders including local residents, elected officials, business leaders and representatives of civic and business organizations.
"I'm excited to take on this new role and build on Xcel Energy's strong commitment to the community," Lexvold said in a news release. "I have deep roots here and I look forward to finding ways we can strengthen the economy of southeastern Minnesota and actively engage the communities to achieve shared goals."
Gorman Prochaska takes on new role
As director of nuclear regulatory policy, Gorman Prochaska will lead Xcel Energy's nuclear policy, demonstrate its value and set the course for the company's future nuclear energy decisions. Gorman Prochaska has nearly 30 years with Xcel Energy, the majority working various roles at the Prairie Island nuclear plant including operations, communications and community relations.
"I've spent two decades in the nuclear industry for Xcel Energy, so this is a homecoming for me," said Gorman Prochaska. "Our nuclear plants provide safe, reliable and clean energy for our customers and are an integral part of our clean energy future. I look forward to building on the successes of our plants as we work to reduce carbon emissions more than 60 percent by 2030."
Gorman Prochaska will complete her transition to this new role in early April.
