Peace activist to discuss Afghanistan, drone war
Veterans For Peace Chapter 115 will bring Kathy Kelly, an internationally known peace activist, to speak at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at Fair Trade Bookstore, 320 Bush St.
Kelly is the co-founder of Voices For Creative Nonviolence. She has spent many weeks in Afghanistan observing the effects of the United States war in Afghanistan. She also will speak on the effects of the U.S. drone war in the Middle East. Her talk is free and open to all.
