Variety of Events Coming Up at Marine Art Museum

Winona, Minn. - The Minnesota Marine Art Museum is offering a variety of events in the next couple of weeks:

Sunday, July 13 is the final day of "From the Vault ... Historic Currency from the 18th to 20th Centuries" an exhibit of nearly 80 pieces of unique currency sponsored by Merchants Bank. Also, a docent-led tour of the Museum will begin at 1 p.m.

Tuesday, July 15 is the opening of the six-day exhibit "Exceptional Art of the Impressionist Era" featuring two new additions to the Burrichter/Kierlin Marine Art Collection.

Saturday, July 19 the Museum hosts an artist signing with Leo Smith from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Saturday, July 26 will feature the popular Family Storytelling program from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The theme is "It's Elementary" which will focus on the elements of art. All ages are welcome, but stories are geared toward younger children.
