Landscaping class offered to gardeners

Back by popular demand, University of Wisconsin-Extension horticulture educator Diana Alfuth will present a two-session class that will teach the basics of how to create a usable and environmentally friendly landscape.

The class will address ways to make the landscape functional, reduce maintenance and protect the environment, all in a cost-effective manner.

Alfuth, a landscape designer, teaches landscape design at UW-River Falls. The class will be 6:30-8:45 p.m. Thursdays, March 13 and 20, at the River Falls Library. Cost is $20 for Master Gardeners, $25 for others. Preregistration is required. Call the Extension office at (715) 273-6781.
