A tanker hauling human waste overturned Monday about 1:30 p.m. near Hobgoblin Music on Highway 19. The tanker, belonging to Dankers Lagoon & Pit Pumping, drove into the ditch and then turned over, according to authorities. The driver, 42-year-old Joel Hart of Mazeppa, was taken to Fairview Red Wing Medical Center, where he was reported in stable condition. Red Wing Public Works employee Doug Alms said about 50 gallons of waste leaked from the tanker and that the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency was notified. The semi's cab came to rest on the shoulder, obstructing traffic for much of the afternoon.
