Lenten worship offered Wednesday at Christ Episcopal

There will be Lenten worship at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Episcopal each Wednesday during Lent. Loose offering will go to Community Care Fund.

Churches Around the Park will hold Lenten worship at 5 and 7 p.m. Wednesday at United Lutheran Church. The Rev. Greg Strunk of First United Methodist Church will preach.

Pierce County Ecumenical Choir performing Sunday

The Pierce County Ecumenical Choir will perform "We Were There" Sunday at 3 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Somerset, Wis., and 7 p.m. at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley. The cantata tells of Holy Week through the voices of people who knew Jesus.

Loaves and Fishes

Sunday Supper/Loaves and Fishes is a full dinner meal prepared and served free to everyone. It is being served at 5 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church.

Reflective event offered at St. Joe's

Life Teen Ministries of the Church of St. Joseph will present "Living Stations" at the church at 7 p.m. Sunday. All are invited to this reflective enactment of Stations of the Cross.

The parish teens will be represent the stations, read reflections, and provide music for this presentation. Refreshments will be served following the service.

Parish nurse will offer health checks

The parish nurse and health team at English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, will check people's blood pressure and heart rates as well as provide general information from 9 to 10:30 a.m. April 17. The team will be downstairs in the church's front entrance.

Youth will serve breakfast to raise funds for trip

Youth of English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, will serve Palm Sunday brunch from 9 a.m. to noon April 17. Ham, sausage, cheesy hashbrowns, pancakes, scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, home baked breads, muffins

and beverages will be served.

Adults pay $10; children 10 and under pay $5. All proceeds will benefit the July youth mission trip to Birmingham, Ala.

United Methodist planning spring rummage sale

First United Methodist Church will hold its spring rummage sale, 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the church. All proceeds go to missions.
