RWHS graduate to perform
Red Wing High School graduate Megan (Fricke) Dimich and her Farmington High School choir will play host to Concordia College Choir at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, in the high school's recital hall, 20655 Flagstaff Ave.
Her students will sing under conductor Rene Clausen, who has selected a varied program including a section titled "How Can I Keep From Singing," which includes works by Pete Seeger, Norman Luboff and Shawn Kirchener.
Dimich graduated from Red Wing High School in 2002 and from Concordia in 2006. Tickets are available online at ConcordiaTickets.com, by calling 800-838-3006 or at the door.
The concert is part of the choir's 15-day 2017 tour. Clausen, a world-renowned composer, conducts the 72-voice a cappella choir and is the artistic director of the Emmy-winning Concordia Christmas Concerts televised nationally through the Public Broadcasting Service. Clausen has written more than 100 commissioned compositions for ensembles across the world.
